NHS Dentist for Much Hadham, Bishop’s Stortford and Ware Residents

Offering essential dental care for our patients at Much Hadham Dental Care.

With much of the focus of modern dental care being placed on sophisticated dental procedures such as teeth whitening and modern orthodontics; it can be all too easy to forget that basic oral health care is the most essential to help patients have strong and healthy teeth. Whilst all dental care is available on a private fee basis, essential dental care is also available at our practice in Much Hadham on the NHS.

Back to basics

By using our NHS dental service, patients are assured of essential oral health care. This includes regular check ups for all of the family, preventative advice, and any essential treatments that might be needed, from a simple filling through to crowns, dentures and bridges. Prices for NHS dental treatments come in three bands, and the cost will depend on which band your treatment falls into. Full details can be seen on the ‘fees’ page of our website.

Keeping NHS dental care affordable to all is essential for the nation’s oral health. Without regular checks and professional advice for patients, the nation’s supposedly poor reputation for bad teeth would be much worse than it is! We are, therefore, pleased to be able to offer NHS dental care and accept new patients when we have availability.

A little more

From time to time, we receive enquiries about whether some cosmetic dental procedures are available on the NHS. Unfortunately, at the present time, cosmetic treatments such as invisible orthodontics are available on the NHS only in very rare circumstances, such as where there is a clinical need. Generally speaking, this is because most cosmetic dental procedures are done for that purpose precisely; to improve the patient’s smile. Whilst there is nothing wrong with that at all, and there are many good reasons to want it; adding cosmetic dental procedures to the NHS available treatments list would result in additional taxes needing to be paid in order to fund the extra work; something that few taxpayers would agree with, we suspect.

We do, however, offer financial plans for patients who wish to take advantage of cosmetic dentistry to improve their smile. Treatments, including the popular Invisalign orthodontics, can be paid for over a twelve month period, interest free (subject to approval). We are happy to discuss any aspect of dental care or oral health concerns with our patients, and whether you are looking for a family NHS dentist or modern cosmetic dental procedures to give you a great smile, we are here to help.
