We thought that we would start the new year off, not with a ‘warning’ about what can go wrong if you don’t take care of your teeth and gums, but by taking a look at the range of cosmetic dental procedures that we have available, that can really help you to bring out the best in your smile.
Teeth whitening
Home teeth whitening treatment is available from us, customised to your own needs. Unlike shop bought kits, the trays into which the whitening agent is placed are made to fit your teeth perfectly. This is important as, if leaked, the agent can cause burns to the lips and gums. Comfort is also assured using this method and within two weeks you will notice how much whiter your teeth have become.
As you will already have the trays, once your teeth start to discolour again, a simple ‘top up’ is all that is needed. We are always here for advice or to answer any questions that you might have.
Straighter teeth
Crooked teeth are the bane of many people’s lives. These people are also often unaware of the advances that have happened in modern dental care though, and presume that old style metallic ‘train track’ braces are the only solution available. Many of our patients from local Hertfordshire areas though, have successfully used the Invisalign orthodontic system which we provide.
As a member of the MiSmile network, we are able to provide these near-invisible ‘braces’ which are not only more discreet, but also fit directly over the teeth and can be easily removed when eating and cleaning the teeth, making them not only effective, but also convenient and comfortable. Invisalign are suitable for teenagers and adults too.
Veneers
Teeth which are heavily stained, or that have suffered cracks and chips, may not be improved significantly through conventional teeth whitening, in fact, this may only act to highlight their flaws. In cases such as these, porcelain dental veneers are an excellent solution that are used to completely replace the damaged front enamel surface of the teeth.
